Her death was confirmed by her friend Melody Ozgoli. Melody remembered Tanya as a beautiful and bright girl and posted on Instagram in her memory.
It was the unfortunate evening of 27th August when the TikTok influencer’s skydiving accident happened in Toronto and took her life.
After the accident, Tanya was immediately rushed to a local hospital. There she was declared as dead. She succumbed to the injuries she suffered.
She recently joined Skydive Toronto as a trainee and became a member of the skydiving community. At the time of this fatal accident, Tanya was diving as a solo student. As per the club, the accident happened because she opened the parachute at a very low altitude, and the parachute did not have enough time to open properly.
Tanya was pursuing the subject of philosophy as a student at the University of Toronto Scarborough. She was also a part of her university’s cheerleading team. Her team has shared an Instagram post in her remembrance.
Apart from this, she was a renowned TikToker with a huge fan following of 100,000 plus. She was active on TikTok with the handle name ‘philosatea.’ She had collected more than 2 million likes on her posts.
Tanya’s fans could have never imagined that destiny would steal their favorite star like this at a young age.
The South Simcoe Police is investigating the TikTok influencer’s skydiving accident.
