Rockabilly Singer Robert Gordon dies at the age of 75


Robert Gordon’s Death: Here is some sad news for the fans of the famous singer Robert Gordon. The rockabilly singer died at the age of 75 on Tuesday.

The tragic news of the singer Robert Gordon’s death was announced by his record label Cleopatra Records. It posted about his death on Facebook.

He was suffering from acute myeloid leukemia for many years. He had blood and bone marrow cancer. He also remained in the hospital for treatment but kept struggling for his life.

A GoFundMe page has been created for raising funds for his family. The page has been created by the family itself. Till now $16,000 have been collected in funds. The funds will be used to pay the hospital bills and funeral expenses.

Who was the Singer Robert Gordon?

Robert Gordon was born in Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1947. He started his career in music by singing for local bands like the Confidentials and the Newports. And got married at the young age of nineteen. But later on, they both separated.

Robert’s first music album was “Fresh Fish Special” and the last one was “Hellafied” which will be released on the 25th of November. He recorded this album with British guitarist Chris Spedding.

He always credited his career success to Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent, and Eddie Cochrane.

He did his best efforts to revitalize the genre of rockabilly in the 1970s. He also started his own band with the name “Tuff Darts.”

Apart from being a part of the music industry, he also tried his luck in acting. He acted in the movie “The Loveless” in 1981.

Gordon is survived by his wife and their two children.
