The Smoke Incident inside Delta Airlines Flight and the Emergency Landing:

The Delta Airlines flight was going from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport. It took off at 1:59 p.m. Approximately three hours later, the aircraft started to descend and maintain lower altitudes.

Suddenly, a smoky odor was detected inside the aircraft. The cockpit and the passenger seating area were filled with smoke. Everyone started to fear that smoke was caused by fire. Somehow, the crew members pacified the passengers.

Apart from this, one engine of the aircraft was also not working properly. So, the decision was taken to divert the flight and it landed safely at the Albuquerque International Sunport around 4:58 p.m.

The aircraft was Boeing 757. Luckily, none of the crew members and passengers suffered any injuries and all came out of the plane safely. Later on, another flight was arranged on Tuesday to drop the passengers at the destination.

Certain videos of smoke inside the aircraft N819DX are making rounds across the internet.

The reasons are being investigated by a team of experts thoroughly. It is still unclear if the smoke was related to the engine issue or not.
