What is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day was launched in 2015. It is the annual online sale event that is organized by Amazon exclusively for its Prime members. During this event, the Prime members are offered one or two days of special savings on numerous items across all the product categories. 

Official Dates for Amazon Prime Day 2022:

Amazon has officially announced the dates for Prime Day 2022. This year the annual event is going to take place on July 12^th and 13^th. Early deals will start on 21^st June.

Prime Day used to take place in the month of July, but the sale event was delayed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020 it took place in October. In the year 2021, Amazon Prime Day returned to its usual summer timeline and was held later in June.

How to get ready for the special day?

The most important thing to note is that this sale is only for the Prime members so first of all make sure that you have an Amazon Prime membership. 

For this, you can sign up and go for a 30-day free trial. After the trial period is over, your membership will be $14.99 per month or $139 annually. 

Apart from fast and free two-day shipping time, you will enjoy access to ad-free music streaming at Prime Video, unlimited photo storage capacity, and also unlimited reading. 

Most of Prime Day’s best deals, including the Lightning Deals, can only be availed by Prime members.

Once the membership is set, one must ensure that the payment methods, including 1-Click settings and the default delivery address, are properly configured so that you can steal your desired deals well in time.

Prime Day sales: which are best?

For this year Amazon has not announced any specific deals officially, but last year we saw huge savings on various items ranging from electronics and major home appliances to small household items. On that basis, one can expect similar products to be on the sale list this year. 

You can look out for deals on:

• Amazon devices, like Fire tablets, TV streaming sticks, Echo smart speakers, Kindles, etc.
• Apple products
• Smart TVs
• Gaming and toys
• Smart home products, like home security systems and smart lights
• Vacuums, like Dyson and Roomba
• Instant Pots and various other kitchen essentials
• Apparels from top brands like Calvin Klein, Adidas, etc.

Retailers who will have competing sales on Prime Day:

Amazon Prime Day is not the only big sale that is going to take place. Other major retailers, like Walmart and Target, are likely to be hosting huge and competing sale events. But there is no announcement for their dates yet.
